Edward Bellamys Push for Social Reform In looking at Backward, Edward Bellamy argued that unrivaled of the most significant problems facing America in 1887 was the unbalanced distribution of wealth throughout the nation that was receivable to the issue of several high-power figures who held the majority of the nations money.
